Organization Continues To Promote & Amplify Women In The Martech Industry

In just four short months, the newly formed professional organization Women of Martech has seen explosive growth. Representing some of the most accomplished and influential women in the marketing, technology and martech industries, Women of Martech has welcomed more than 400 members, spanning across 270 companies and 12 countries. Among the established companies Women of Martech is proud to reflect are Johnson & Johnson, Peloton, Amazon, American Airlines, Viacom, MRM McCann and EY - pulling thought leaders from across the globe, from England to Australia to France and more. 

“The explosive growth Women of Martech has experienced in such a short period of time is reflective of just how necessary an organization like this is,” said Kathy Bryan, Women of Martech President. “You can see, through our growing numbers, inspiring success stories and the genuine excitement of our members, that this is just the beginning for Women of Martech. I look forward to sharing the accomplishments of our members as we further our mission and continue to promote and amplify women in the martech industry.”

Continuing its efforts to engage an accomplished and influential group of female marketers, Women of Martech recently announced the formulation of four impactful committees, which will shape the future of the organization and provide unique member benefits: 

• The steering committee: Providing the overall vision and strategic direction of the organization. 
• The activation committee: Responsible for organizing and executing all logistics behind member programs, monthly meetings, marketing efforts and special projects. Members of the activation committee are also responsible for devising ways to increase and maintain membership.
• The diversity & equal opportunity committee: Working on programs, resources and initiatives that highlight and recognize the value diversity and inclusiveness brings to the marketing, technology and martech industries. With support from the DEOC, Women of Martech will spotlight the success stories of women of color in an effort to bring heightened awareness to their vital contributions to the industry.
• The cheering & motivation committee: Dedicated to providing encouragement, words of support and general pep talks to fellow Women of Martech members seeking confidence boosts. Members of the CMC will engage in short phone and video calls with peer members and offer inspired words of motivation and encouragement. Understanding that sometimes you need someone to remind you, “you can do it,” the CMC committee embodies the spirit of women supporting and empowering other women.

Each committee member is devoted to actively working to increase the percentage of women who are in leadership roles, highlight the value that diversity and inclusiveness brings to the martech industry and continue to identify and amplify the successes of women. Both the diversity & equal opportunity committee and the cheering & motivation committee are still actively recruiting new members, with additional information on joining here.

Women of Martech membership is free during 2020, and the organization is open to women who work at marketing technology companies in any capacity; female marketers of any company who regularly deploy technology; anyone committed to helping amplify women’s achievements in the martech industry; women with the desire to connect, engage, advance and lead the martech industry forward; and anyone in the martech industry who identifies as female.
