Women Of Martech Presents Actionable Growth Strategies For Women During October Virtual Membership Meeting

Organization Continues To Provide Members With Exclusive & Actionable Strategies To Amplify Themselves & Others

Countless women across the martech industry experience difficulty in identifying the necessary strategies needed to elevate themselves throughout their careers. Recognizing this need, Women of Martech(WOM) remains committed to providing its members with opportunities to amplify their own strengths, capabilities and achievements and further their career growth. On October 1, WOM hosted the organization’s second virtual membership meeting, featuring a panel of female-focused career coaches and advisors. 

Moderated byColleen Liguori, WOM steering committee leader & EVP of people & HR operations at Digital Media Solutions (DMS), the Women of Martech Becoming Awesome: How To Be It, Own It & Take It To The Next Level session featured three experienced female-focused career coaches. The panel presented actionable growth strategies for women to better identify their unique and competitive skills, build self-confidence, amplify their own strengths, optimize performance and productivity and enhance their influence and impact as leaders.

“Whether you are an experienced executive or just entering the workforce, career advisors have the ability to make a profound impact on your life,” said Liguori. “Each of the established career advisors that participated in our virtual membership meeting presented actionable tips and strategies that will undoubtedly help members grow in their careers and gain the confidence needed to thrive. Women of Martech is dedicated to amplifying the recognition of women and helping to increase the number of women in leadership roles throughout the martech industry, and our virtual membership meetings are just one of the many ways we do that.”

Panelists from the Women of Martech October virtual membership meeting included:

  • Kia Silver Hodge, Chief Motivation Officer, Master Mine Consulting: In addition to holding several impactful leadership positions throughout her career - including interim corporate director of diversity & inclusion and head of EEO & diversity of enterprise operations at Lockheed Martin and corporate manager of diversity & military recruitment programs at Northrop Grumman - Hodge is also a Certified Personal & Executive Coach (CPEC) and professional in human resources (PHR). In 2017, she was elected president and board chair of The Arc Prince George’s County and also serves on the advisory board of the DC Metro Business Leadership Network.

  • Jennifer Blair, Owner, Excavive Coaching & Consulting: Because of her wise and intuitive nature, Blair is able to establish compassionate, confidential working relationships, enabling her clients to journey back to their most authentic selves and create lives based on their true values. In addition to her established coaching and corporate consulting practice, Blair is a sought-after speaker, podcast guest and four-time author. She published her first book, The True You: Tools to Excavate, Explore and Evolve, in 2012 and her second, The True You Reimagined: Discover Your Authentic Self, in 2020. Her complementary The True You Workbook: Tools to Reimagine Your Life offers insightful writing exercises based on her many years of experience. Blair is also the co-author of the international best-seller book, Women Who BossUp

  • Wendy Saccuzzo, Customer Success Strategist at Work Stuff & Head of Career Services for Tech Ladies: Saccuzzo has helped more than 2,000 people connect to resources, opportunities and ideas to take their careers to the next levels. She has experience in technical recruiting from Riviera Partners, has led meetups focused on career development for Women Who Code and worked as director of career services at Hackbright Academy, the software engineering school for women. In her current role at Tech Ladies, Saccuzzo manages the job board, works with hiring partners to build diversity, equity and inclusion and supports members in their career development.

“To help our members identify their awesomeness and learn how it can elevate them, Women of Martech recruited an elite lineup of experienced career coaches to share their knowledge and tips with the Women of Martech members,” said Kathy Bryan, WOM president & chief marketing officer at Digital Media Solutions. “As our organization grows, we remain committed to providing actionable ways for women to promote and amplify themselves and the women around them. We’re excited to continue our free, quarterly virtual membership meetings, and similar initiatives, in order to offer value and help Women of Martech members increase their visibility and accelerate their growth.”

The content featured through the Women of Martech quarterly membership meetings is based on a keen understanding of the organization’s membership base. Pulling from surveys, member feedback and industry research, Women of Martech steering committee leaders identify the factors currently impacting female amplification and the ability to increase the number of female leaders in martech in order to provide the most valuable, relevant insight for members.

Since launching, Women of Martech has experienced explosive growth, growing to more than 500 members to date. Women of Martech membership is free during 2020, and the organization is open to women who work at marketing technology companies in any capacity; female marketers of any company who regularly deploy technology; anyone committed to helping amplify women’s achievements in the martech industry; women with the desire to connect, engage, advance and lead the martech industry forward; and anyone in the martech industry who identifies as female.
